Knowman was born in 2001 as a private consulting company dedicated to Knowledge Management.
Founded in 2001, Knowman is a consulting company which provides guidance and support to organisations and communities keen to improve their operation through a better use of knowledge.

We focus on:

• organisational learning;
• communities of practice / social networks;
• enterprise social tools;
• (internal) communication and collaboration;
• cultural change;

Ana Neves founded and manages the company.

She has a varied experience: Senior Consultant at Headshift, Knowledge Network Manager in agencies of the British Department of Health, Cultural Change Manager at a large British bank, etc.

She has worked with the likes of Petrobras (Brazil), PricewaterhouseCoopers (Portugal), Innovation Unit (UK), Channel 4 (UK), Federal Government of Brazil, and many others.

In 2008, 2010 and 2011 she presided the jury for the Intranet Portal Award, an award which recognises and celebrates the best intranet in Brazil.

Ana coordinates the CivicTech work group at APDSI (Portuguese Association for the Promotion and Development of the Information Society).

In 2001 she created KMOL, a website dedicated to knowledge management and organisational learning in Portuguese language.

She co-edited the books “Gestão de Empresas na Era do Conhecimento” (Edições Sílabo, Portugal, 2003) e “Dá Pra Fazer – Gestão do Conhecimento e Inovação no Setor Público” (Secretaria de Planejamento e Desenvolvimento Regional de São Paulo, Brazil, 2014).

She came up with the concepts for events like Cidadania 2.0, Social Now and Organização 2.0.

Her knowledge, down-to-earth approach and relaxed manners make her a frequently invited speaker to conferences in different countries, sharing her views on knowledge management, enterprise social tools and the use of technology to enhance civic participation.
