Yesterday, IDC announced the 10 winners of the CIO Awards 2012. 65 ICT projects, in public and private Portuguese organisations, competed for this award.

One of the winners is Seixal City Council’s platform for managing and promoting knowledge.

Knowman was involved in the WikiCMSeixal project, particularly by conducting an audit of processes, infrastructure and culture, choosing the platform used, and recommending configuration options and roll out strategy.

WikiCMSeixal is now is an excellent example of how a collaboration platform, in this case a wiki platform, can be used to improve internal collaboration, replace less efficient processes, reduce costs and eliminate the need for the old intranet.
